Links for positive discrimination

Presentation

General comments

Communication
Good presentation of plan at start (slide 2) and good transitions between speakers. More dynamism (courage) and imagination would have helped to involve the audience.

Slides
Sober but clear. The parallelism of the pro and con slides was not apparent to me at the time - could you have made the contrast clearer? Too many grammar errors.

Content
A very formal debate which did not engage the audience very well: perhaps we needed more concrete examples and moral issues.

Specific comments

Slide 1 (Elsa)
Nice clear delivery, but many errors in expression.

as she said
discrimination positive > positive discrimination
I'm going to define you this term > I'm going to define this term for you
(you should count in English)

Slide 3 (Marie)
You were quite fluent, but many key words are mispronounced.

the term positive discrimination was created
discriminated citizens
law

women

Slide 4 (Muriel)
You sound bright and engaged at the start, then become a little more hesitant. It is not always easy to understand your point and your points sound like an unordered list instead of a structured series.

developing
government

Slide 5 (Audrey)
Good speed but perhaps a little too quiet.

womans > women

Slide 6 (Elsa)
You were more relaxed at the end and sounded more fluent. You could have done more with the survey result - asked individuals why they voted as they did.

our point of view is mixed > our position is somewhere between the two extremes

Slide Corrections
Slide 1: 'The' not needed
Slide 2: promotes / to promote
